Royal Mail to issue Pink Floyd 50th Anniversary Stamps

But will they remember Syd  huh?

Heres our own..

Looks to me as though the Official stamps are just 6 Album covers & you can get a limited edition cover for syd. Info on the Official Stamps is here..

Do ours look better?.. google comments enabled..

Note:
we would appreciate NO ONE cropping, airbrushing out the 1st class and selling in A4's.. How ever cool they would look... The artist we have helping us with stuff here is sick of seeing his designs rolled out on eBay... Its Piracy..

Rattle That Lock (Deluxe Edition) CD+DVD

Rattle That Lock (Deluxe Edition)

There is also a Bluray edition and a single CD version. The deluxe package offers some extras and isn't a bad little package. Main gripe is the box lacks the album name on the spines and the top and bottom edges, so identifying this on a shelf will be a problem.

This is a pretty fantastic album "besides the title track" and tbh i am unsure why they chose Rattle That Lock to be the title track or why its been used to plug the album. There are much better tracks on the album.

To be updated....

Odd Notes:
The whole album has as unusual yet nice feel to it, lot of really old school stuff very reminiscent to  the probate days along with the type of stuff that would of no doubt once been performed on his boat back when it was in use as a boat. Jools hollands possible influence along with daves love of old school blues really does give this album a nice feel. I also get a real feel of the beatles in some places, even a moment during Five AM where part of it almost sounded like the melody from "Eternal Flame" then suddenly felt like "The Long and Winding Road"  (to be updated)

The Endless River

The Endless River is only the fifteenth studio album by Pink Floyd, and yet this will be their last official studio album under the bands name. One wonders if David will ever release a "Single" with Roger once the floyd is laid to rest.

Seams strange referring it to the 15th album when most of have way more than that, yet many are of course live and hold variations of guitar and vocal work that we love.

I guess as collectors we are lucky to hear them and have our own personal favourites from specific nights off specific concerts, while the casual listener has 15 albums and a few official live gigs.

This new albums been slammed by a lot of fans, and other people in celebrity kinda circles (before its even been released)

There is a video here that ide yet to of seen, aside from them 3 small teasers

How do i feel about this Album.. as a fan?
Its not a bad album, though i kind of expected more, like the extras on the visual aspect are the same tracks. I also expected some older stuff thrown in that was never released.. Considering this is the last album to ber the bands name.

Sink Into Oblivion

With the new floyd album due out i often still think back to when i first heard momentary lapse and radio kaos (the 2 i heard at the time) and i always wondered what kaos would of been like if dave had been onboard.. if that had been a PF album

what ide never considered was what if Dave had replaced Clapton on pros and cons,,, Until i heard this song on sound cloud. Im posting this here because i think this is one of them songs that reminds me of why i like pink floyd (as a whole package)  the mood, the sorrow, the style the skill and the talent...  could this of been a division bell era track if roger was still onboard?
(please remember what ive written above is MY view.. not the musicians in question)
so lets not have any irate roger or dave fans having a go at him if they don't like it
this is just my opinion.. and i think this song has all the hall marks of a classic.
At the moment you can also download the track free from the artist to  :D

My Notes:

This is another one of the best "cheap" documentary's that's been made, It features a lot of footage and pictures along with interviews with the actual band as well as the critics (unlike many of the dvd's today that just interview people who write for magazines or work in studios)
It was on sale in "Music Zone" in the uk and was bought on the 22nd of February 2000
for £5.99.  If anyone recognizes the screen shots and can pinpoint if theirs been an official dvd release of this.. please post a link in the comments below ;)
It opens up with interviews on the steps of earls court during the Division Bell Tour and also shows interviews with roger, old footage and interviews in b/w and colour.
