My Notes:

This was Pink Floyds Massive Come Back....
Their first album since "The Final Cut" this was a second follow up tour to promote the Studio album "A Momentary Lapse Of Reason"  and each concert location sold out pretty fast... They later went back on tour in 1989 which was called "Another Momentary Lapse Of Reason" this second tour was released as a double live album called "Delicate Sound of Thunder"  It's odd to think that there where nights when Roger Waters was playing "Radio Kaos Live" while Pink Floyd where on tour, yet an Official Live Double Cd for Radio Kaos has never been released.

Delicate Sound of Thunder CD Box Front

A number of bootlegs have been floating about for a few years, especially the Venice concert from 1988 that was filmed but only ever used for television.  Again the later 1989 tour was used for the official video release which was
"Delicate Sound of Thunder Live At Earls Court"

When pink floyd set out on tour, roger waters legal representatives issued a statement saying any company promoting or selling tickets would be taken to court..
this never stopped the first concert or the two tours..
and with those two tours..
The Mighty Pink Floyd Were Back....

When you consider the amount of nights they played (you can see on wiki here) its hard to believe the momentary album isn't as popular as others. I my self prefer delicate.

This unique book and film review draws on archive concert film of Pink Floyd in performance and documentary footage from television and radio archives around the world. We also hear the first hand accounts of Insiders from the Floyd camp including Clare Torry who sang on Dark Side Of The Moan, the co-composer of Atom Heart Mother Ron Geesin, and Snowy White and Andy Roberts, the backing guitarists from The Wall Live show.  Also featured are a team of leading journalists and Musicians, who strip away the layers of sensationalism and half truths to produce the ultimate critical review of Pink Floyd, up close and personal. The 72-page book features a track by track analysis of every studio album Pink Floyd recorded, and is illustrated with many colour photographs from the early days to Live8.

The DVD features highlights from:
Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
Cymbaline
Grantchester Meadows
Careful With That Axe, Eugene
Atom Heart Mother
Astronomy Domine
The Scarecrow
Let There Be More Light

Featuring:
Clare Torry
Ron Geesin
SnowyWhite
Andy Roberts

My Notes:

Not to bad, it also features syd but does concentrate more on roger.
It boasts a fair bit of old footage and interviews with people, including the female artist who did the epic screaming over "great gig in the sky" and also their first producer and others..
The book isn't to bad neither.... Disc clips into the back of book
